INDIVIDUAL WORK WITH CLIENTS
Apart from courses offering participants techniques and
systems of knowledge that allow them to work on their own, I also provide various
individual treatments. Primarily, there are energy treatments, initiations and
psychotherapeutic interventions.
One doesn’t need to attend courses to be able to pursue
personal and spiritual development, however one can come in for individual
treatments. This kind of work is intended for persons who are not interested in
taking a course but wish to solve a specific problem. Persons actively involved
in personal development and attending courses can also occasionally come for an
intervention, as a check-up on their work, and for additional education or work
requiring the use of techniques they are not yet familiar with.
All individual treatments take up to two hours maximum.
During this time a therapeutic intervention is simultaneously performed on
different levels – psychological, energy and spiritual. Except for energy
treatments, all other forms of individual treatment require active
participation of the client.
The evolution of self-development systems
When working with clients, I use a wide variety of different
technical means. The reason for using a number of seemingly different systems
and techniques is that namely, modern technology of personal development is
still very young. Ancient knowledge has just begun to be discovered and
presented in a way people can understand. Such knowledge was supposedly whole
and integral in ancient history, but when our planet entered the state of
unbalance, the knowledge of ancient times was scattered and lost. As planet
Earth has not yet emerged out of this unbalanced cycle, it is difficult to talk
about integrated, complete spiritual knowledge or a spiritual school. Consequently,
almost every new technique or system recently discovered undergoes processes of
change and supplementation. Those systems were supposed to be complete, but
practitioners possessing common sense quickly become aware of their limits and
moved on by seeking knowledge in other sources, while the righteous usually
stay convinced that there could be nothing more perfect in this world then the
method they currently use.
Therefore, I wish to emphasize that I am not personally identified
with any technique or system of development that I use, so I don’t consider
myself to be a promoter of any of them. Technique is a resource for me, a means
which is more or less efficient. If I am dealing with a technique that is, in
my current experience, very efficient, I will approach it with appropriate
attention and with respect for its creator. If I use a technique in its
original form, I also try to keep its original quality and spirit. I do not
belittle other techniques, because there is always somebody out there who finds
them helpful and considers them sacred. The fact that I personally don’t find
them efficient is not really relevant, because I am always ready to leave
behind all the methods that I currently use and replace them with new ones, the
ones that will be efficient for me at that particular moment.
The goals of personal and spiritual development
It is my personal belief that each technique simply represents
a means for personal development. Therefore I consider it to be a part of my
path, but not the final goal. I find it useless to identify myself too much
with the path, because when I travel, I wish to reach my destination quickly
and safely. Although I like traveling itself and it is important to me what
kind of vehicle I use, I don’t travel just for the sake of traveling. Being on
the road is a process that takes me to a certain destination and I always bear my
final destination in mind. If you don't know what your destination is, you can
travel all your life without getting anywhere. Therefore I think it is much
more useful to be identified with the final goal. The goal of our existence is self-realisation,
or the realisation of our creative potentials. There are two processes leading
towards this goal. The first process leading towards self-realisation is
self-awareness, or awareness of all levels of one’s being. The goal attained by
this process is a level of consciousness usually referred to as enlightenment.
Today, we have some high-quality techniques that, in a tested and secure way, enable
practitioners to achieve high levels of spiritual enlightenment. That’s why I
think it is good to use them, however there's no need to idealise or worship
them.
Practice has shown that being enlightened does not
necessarily mean being completely purified of negative karma, neither does being
enlightened automatically make people self-realised. The point is that
enlightenment is not the final destination - it is a necessary step on the road
of personal development and it surely represents an important goal in the first
phase of our path. However once complete self-awareness is achieved, one needs
to work on developing the capability to live from the enlightened state as this
capability doesn’t automatically fall out of the sky together with enlightenment.
It has to be developed, and the effort required is much bigger than the effort we
put into achieving enlightenment.
In this way, enlightenment is just a step towards our
realisation, because without complete self-awareness we are unable to realise
ourselves completely. Being enlightened means going back to the original,
healthy state of spirit. However, once we are healthy, the question is what do
we do with this new-found health? It is thus illusory to think that being
enlightened signifies the end of our development on this planet. Only perfect
living and acting from the enlightened state will represent the real end of the
process of our development. That is why I speak of enlightenment as a path, and
I consider creative self-realisation to be the final goal.
On the other hand, enlightenment and creative
self-realisation can be attained only to the extent to which our soul is
cleared of negative karma. In this way, inner purification of everything
that is in the way of our enlightenment and self-realisation is the second
process leading directly to achieving the final outcome of our existence. Undergoing
the processes of inner purification is also not a purpose in itself.
Nevertheless, it is a necessary process. It is also the most difficult and
least enjoyable part of our journey, and therefore it requires maximum
attention. That is why we shouldn’t commit ourselves to a limited number of
technical means just because we have identified ourselves with the path,
instead of the final goal.
Methodology
Although I use different techniques, the methodology of my
therapeutic interventions can be described as three basic processes that, in my
experience, form a whole and yield excellent results. Techniques that I use
enable a realisation of those processes. Namely, each therapeutic intervention
I do consists of creating awareness of all inner states that form the
symptoms of the problem, followed by the awareness of the causes of the problem
and awareness of its meaning. Full awareness and direct insight into the
essence of the problem is one of the phases that can’t be by-passed by the
client, if he or she wants to solve the problem. The client has to understand
the problem, know what it’s about, what brought it into existence, what the
structure of the problem is, what needs to be done in order to solve it, what
lessons can be learned and what changes need to be done.
Conscious exploring of the territory that forms the problem
will be accompanied by energy support, provided firstly by the attention given from
the therapist to the person undergoing the intervention, and also by the energy
healing systems, which enable contact with the so-called “universal
cosmic energy”. I use energy work, among other things, to help the clients open
up, to fill them with energy, to achieve contact with the subconscious and
higher consciousness, to discover and clear the causes of problems, heal energy
“wounds” that sometimes appear as consequences of deep purification, and as
auxiliary means for achieving spiritual experience or direct experience of
truth. The energy of the universal field serves as an ideal support for the
process of understanding problems and for healing our energy bodies and energy
centres within them. It is also a high-quality means of bringing a person into
spiritual experience.
The third and the most subtle moment of the therapeutic
process are interventions from the spiritual world, or spiritual beings
that have to be entrusted with performing certain healing processes that are
under their jurisdiction. This is why we have to know how to recognise the
right moment for such an intervention, and allow it to happen without our
interference. The reason for such interventions lies in a need to establish
communication with our higher consciousness. The easiest way to establish that
communication is through intermediaries, or symbols that represent our higher
consciousness. So called "spiritual beings" are, in fact, only
representatives of our higher consciousness. Prayer or invocation of spiritual beings
for the purpose of executing certain intervention is the only concrete activity
we perform here, and then it is necessary to let go, and allow the intervention
to happen by itself. If we compare the process of recognising problems with
active, male or magical aspects of healing work, then channelling the energy of
the universal field and interventions of spiritual beings would represent the mystical,
female or passive aspect. Both aspects have to be present during therapeutic
intervention, because only their harmonious combination gives optimal results.
Thus, good intervention intended for the purpose of changing
inner states and life circumstances of the person can include all three
elements that were hitherto used separately. Until recently, a priest would
pray for a person with problems, the healer would treat them with energy, a psychotherapist
would try to make it possible for them to gain conscious insight into causes of
their problems, and the physician treated the body. All those integral parts of
therapeutic intervention were separated from each other in the past. That is
why today we have healers who think it is possible to accomplish everything
with energy treatments, and that other forms of therapeutic interventions are
inferior to energy healing. At the same time, everybody knows what the majority
of doctors, psychologists and psychiatrists think about so-called alternative
forms of therapy, and the same goes for churches or priests.
Personally, I think that doctors should continue treating
bodies, but the three above-mentioned phases of mental and spiritual healing
can, and should be done by one person. A good spiritual therapist should be
capable to make a client aware of the structure of the problem and its cause
using well-formed verbal communication and guided visualisation. This way, the
client can take responsibility for his or her own problem and undertake
specific action for its solving. Together with psychotherapeutic skills, a good
therapist should be able to provide energy treatments for the client. Energy
treatments play multiple roles – they facilitate and speed up the growth of
awareness of causes and the structure of the problems, they purify the energy
body of negative energy substances (dead or depleted energy or negative chi)
that accumulated as a consequence of a negative way of life. They also
introduce the person to subtle and abstract states of mind that connect the
client with the spiritual level of their being.
In other words, verbal communication can serve as tool of
intervention at the psychological level. Verbal communication is a natural
means of therapeutic intervention that can guide clients through the
psychological elements of the problem, causing changes in the minds of the
clients and encouraging them to make concrete changes in everyday life.
However, words are not always the most appropriate way to introduce a client to
a spiritual experience. On the contrary, they can cause confusion. That is why
energy work provides a much better means for introducing and experiencing spiritual
reality. Psychotherapeutic and energy treatments can also be completed by
meditation and invoking spiritual beings through prayer. Certain aspects of
human lives are influenced by spiritual beings that represent their guides and
protectors. For that reason, a good therapist should be able to establish
contact with the spiritual world and ask for intervention.
The characteristics of client - therapist relationship
In my experience, these three different approaches represent
a complete base for good therapeutic intervention that will prepare the person
in an adequate way for correct actions. Namely, therapeutic interventions
can’t substitute a specific activity performed by client alone. They prepare
them for concrete activity and behaviour, which will enable clients to solve
their problems or achieve goals on their own. A therapist helps the client
discover themselves, understand what they want and find ways to achieve their
goals. A therapist is supervising the client and thus leading him or her, however
he avoids any kind of critique, judgment, counseling or decision-making for the
client.
This is why my practical work involves the client personally
in the most active possible way. My clients are not in a passive position. They
actively co-operate in the healing process. They are also trained to use all
stated means of intervention by themselves, in other words – to develop skills
that they can learn in the courses to the level where they become completely
self-sufficient and independent of any external influence. After they reach the
level of operative, active knowledge, they are encouraged to apply their
learning in creative ways. I believe that guru-like relationships are to be
avoided as much as possible, because if any kind of dependence, non-creativity
or lack of responsibility is encouraged in the client, then we are not talking
about spirituality or self-realisation, but manipulation or some sort of
business contract.
This kind of approach is not simple. It is characteristic
for the path usually called “the direct way”. It is the path of personal and
immediate spiritual experience, personal involvement in the process of inner
purification and realisation of creative potential. Unfortunately, even in the
world of contemporary esotericism, it is “the road less traveled” because most
people refuse to take responsibility for their own lives and are trying to find
someone to transfer that responsibility to. However, if somebody wants to go
through complete karmic purification, become spiritually enlightened and reach
creative self-realisation, there is no alternative. It is possible to attain these
goals only if we fully participate in the processes leading to it, and if we
invest our full potential. An instructor or a teacher can support the client,
but he or she is not allowed to get involved with a client’s experiences and
lessons. We have to play our own life games ourselves, and if we do so – the
benefits will also be the greatest.
